Returned home!
With the market dried up in California and its freeze in hiring new teachers, I have returned to Nebraska to pursue English teaching positions. I have been substitute teaching in Lincoln, Elkhorn, and Westside schools while supporting that income with part-time work at Professional Research Consultants. My husband continues to reside in California and teach high school Math. The distance is a challenge at times, but we remain hopeful that a teaching job will happen and we will be reunited soon. gain on his third ship the USS Gettysburg in a couple of days and waiting to hear if he makes Chief after serving 12 years in the Navy. Our oldest daughter Darby transferred from a California community college to UNL and is thrilled to be a part of a wonderful education program studying to become another teacher in the family! She, too, desires to teach English. Caitlin, our youngest child, returned to Nebraska last summer after graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Psychology and is currently employed with the Lincoln Regional Center. She intends to pursue her masters once she establishes residency.
